Lighthouse Pizza accepts applications year-round. Hiring for Spring/Summer Positions begins in February and continues through Summer.

Lighthouse Pizza works with a team approach. All team members take orders, answer phones and assist customers. Those with additional skills and experience will be assigned to work as drivers and cooks.

Minimum starting pay $7.25 an hour -- no "tip wage" -- plus tips. Other pay based on experience. Average take-home pay including tips $15 to $20 per hour.

Duties include:

Cook -- Prepare pizza and other menu items, following Lighthouse Pizza's recipes and procedures, package food for delivery or carryout. Assist with inventory, put away food and supplies after deliveries, keep kitchen clean and organized, assist with taking orders.

CSR -- Customer Service Representative/Server -- Greet customers, take telephone and walk-in orders and enter on computer. Take orders at tables from dine-in customers and deliver food and beverages to tables. Operate cash register (computerized Point of Sale system), collect payments, process credit card transactions and give correct change. Assist with packaging orders for pickup or delivery. Collect payments from drivers after deliveries. Keep dining room clean and organized.

Drivers -- Deliver orders to locations on Tybee Island. Collect payment for delivery or get credit card signature, and turn in payment to CSR. Must have valid drivers' license, dependable automobile and current insurance. Knowledge of area is a plus. When not on a delivery, assist CSRs and cooks with telephones, prep, packaging, clearing tables and other duties as needed.

Positions include part-time, seasonal and year-round. Full-time hours available during peak season. Spring/summer positions end after Labor Day weekend.

Due to heavy traffic and resulting commuting time during the summer, preferred applicants will live on Tybee or in the islands area. Applicants from outside the Savannah area will not be considered. Applicants, such as college students, who have other addresses but who will live within commuting distance during the summer should note that on their application.

Summer hours are noon-10 p.m. daily, later hours on most Friday and Saturday nights. Winter hours begin in October or November and are 5-10 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Minimum age 17. Under 18 must be attending school or have high school diploma.
